I take a picture of a flower now and then, when I see them
blooming in the yard or on a hike. Sometimes they become a new painting.
The paintings is always much better then the picture.

I shot this beautiful Calla Lily while visiting my friend Lisa in Phoenix during the Summer of 2002.
It was the basis for my Calla Lily Painting.

I love this view of the Lily, I look at it often and think that I really should paint it.
