"In the winter of 2002 we lost our precious little Pomm-Peek (part Pomeranian - part Pekingese), who gave us great joy and love for 15 years.  We buried her in the Iris flower bed.  The following spring on one perfect Iris bloomed in that bed, the one right where Goldie was laid.  Joe picked it and her gently out on the scanner and made a wonderful print from which I painted this painting.  It was such a perfect tribute to her sweet, loving and energetic spirit."  ~ Anni Adkins

Artist's Notes: As an artist,  I was intrigued with the triple triangle composition, each laying on top of the other.  This created three distinct planes and allowed me to focus the observer's view on the center plane giving the image a very three dimensional effect.  I love this color combination of purple and citrus yellow producing wonderful tiger patterns wrapping themselves around the petals.
